National Cycling Centre

Scientific tour

 British cycling

We will visit the National Cycling Centre and Velodrome, home of the Great Britain Cycling Team on the afternoon of Friday 8th June. As part of this interactive workshop, delegates will receive a guided tour of the Velodrome and the BMX track, where we are hopeful to observe a training session with some of Great Britain’s medal winning cyclists. As part of the tour, scientists from the Great Britain Cycling Team will also take the opportunity to present and discuss some of our more significant measurement challenges with the delegates. Through this interactive, facilitated session it is hoped that GBCT scientists can take the opportunity to interact and learn from scientists working in complementary fields, fully embracing the multi-disciplinary and knowledge-sharing nature of the conference.

The tour will take place on the Friday afternoon, and information about transport etc will be provided during the conference.
